This unique event was the first one held exclusively for women. Over two hundred women showed up at the house of Rabbi Benzion Klatzko, the remarkable founder of Shabbat.com. There is a significant overlap between the TYH groups and Shabbat.com members, which made this event special.
A few of the women shared their personal stories of thanks to Hashem and how it helped them through thick and thin. The guest speaker that evening is they always hilarious Malkie Knopfler - the_comic_cook. It was a fantastic evening filled with laughter, inspiration, and gratitude.
It was our first event in Brooklyn, and oh what a success it was. Hosted by Congregation Chevra Linath Hazedek, close to a thousand participants showed up. The Rav of the congregation Rabbi Tzvi Otner reached out to the founders of Thank You Hashem and asked to be given the opportunity to host such an inspiring organization. It was a motivational and uplifting night with a lavish buffet and lively music.
The speeches by the Mura D’asra Rebbi Tzvi Otner, and the founder of TYH, Rabbi Ari Berkowitz, was followed by a Q&A led by Rabbi Moshe Yona Horowitz which left the audience spellbound. The highlight of the event was an inspirational keynote speech by Rabbi David Asher, the well-known author of Living with Emunah. Afterward, the whole crowd said the Tefillas Todah together, bringing the event to a stirring close.
The first anniversary of the Thank You Hashem movement was commemorated in style. A massive gathering of over one thousand men and women came to celebrate the expansion of the TYH groups, over 15,000 members in the 1st year. A rich buffet and beautiful music with energetic singers uplifted the crowd. Rabbi Ari Berkowitz and Rabbi Moshe Yona Horowitz addressed the gathering with motivational talk.
Twelve members from among the participants stood up to share their personal stories of thanks and miracles. This is how it is; Hashem only created the world to generate goodness, and when we thank him, it causes more kindness from the one above.
Motzai Shabbos, The 7th night of Chanukah. Was The second event for women was held in a beautiful mansion in Monsey. A few hundred Hebrew speaking followers gathered for a heartwarming evening to share their personal journey to connecting to Hashem by thanking. As usual there was scrumptious smorgasbord and some lively music to entertain the crowd.
After some moving speeches, the evening's highlight was when all the women recited Neshmas and the Teffilas Todah. It as an awe-inspiring scene that left everyone with renewed gratitude to the creator of it all, Hashem.
The first-ever Thank You Hashem event was a real eye-opener for the organizers. This was when they realized the tremendous effect of the organization and the need to create more awareness on living a life of gratitude. The motto in Yiddish describes the benefits of thanking Hashem, perfectly; A thanks brings a thanks. Each time you thank Hashem, it creates a vessel for you to receive more blessings so that you can continue thanking.
Members of the TYH groups reached out to the organizers that there is a need to facilitate a large event. Prominent singers, musicians, and caterers who were followers of the Thank You Hashem movement offered their services for free. A location was chosen, and an outdoor BBQ was planned. Rabbi Ari Berkowitz, the founder of TYH, expressed his thanks and wonderment to the unexpectedly positive response.
After some stirring speeches by Rabbi Moshe Yona Horwitz and Rabbi Yoel Weberman, the crowd enjoyed the beautiful ambiance of the night. A keynote speech by Rabbi Shloime Ehrlich, founder of Ohr Layesharim, left the audience captivated. It was a successful night, which would be a harbinger for things to come.
